DIY Chocolate Body Paint & Edible Body Powder
It's Valentine's Day!!! Need a last minute gift idea for your husband? Here's two! You can thank me later...or he can. :)
Chocolate Body Paint
The Fixin's:
1/3 c sugar
1 pinch kosher salt
3 t water
2 t butter
1/4 c cocoa powder
1/2 t vanilla
1/2 t of flavoring - I used peppermint. Other suggestions I like are Baileys Irish Cream or Pinncale Whipped Vodka (both alcoholic).
What To Do:
Step 1: In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, salt and water over medium heat. Without stirring, bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 2: Once the sugar has dissolved, remove it from the heat and add the butter, stirring with a whisk until it is melted and combined with the rest. Then add the cocoa and flavorings and whisk some more.
Step 3: When mixed together and nice and smooth pour your chocolate into a glass jar or other microwave safe container.
Step 4: When ready to use, heat at 15 second intervals, stirring in between. Be careful not to burn each other! That's not the kind of Red Hot Valentine you'll want! ;)
Step 5: Paint away!
DIY Edible Vanilla Body Powder -Ever wonder where the term 'sweet cheeks' came from?
The Fixin's:
8 oz. of cornstarch
2 oz. of powdered sugar
2 oz. of vanilla powder
What To Do:
Step 1: Whisk all the ingredients together well.
Step 2: Store in an air tight container.
Step 3: Apply with a make-up brush to all your favorite kissable spots.

ReplyDeleteIn the body paint recipe is says 2 "t" butter. Is that teaspoons or tablespoons?
ReplyDelete3 "t" water
2 "t" butter
1/4 c cocoa powder
1/2 "t" vanilla
1/2 "t" of flavoring
In any recipe that is properly abbreviated a lower case t or tsp is for teaspoon, upper case T orTbs is tablespoon.
