Honey Cinnamon Mask

I've been using this natural homeopathic face mask for the past several weeks and the only complaint I have is that my 16-year-old-self didn't know about it!

At 26, I still struggle with acne, but since indulging in this delicious facial spread my breakouts haven't been as severe, my skin feels smoother, brighter, and my acne scars seem to be disappearing. Needless to say, I am a big believer in the healing properties of the honey, cinnamon and nutmeg and I would recommend this to anybody. Having said that, I should also tell you I have combination skin (dry in some areas, oily in others) and this mask may be too potent for those who have sensitive skin.

The Fixin's:
Honey
Cinnamon
Nutmeg

For Single Use:
1T of Honey
1T of Cinnamon
1t of Nutmeg

For Multiple Uses:
1/4 c of Honey
1/4 c of Cinnamon
1T of Nutmeg

What To Do:
Step 1:
Combine ingredients. If your mixture is too cold, zap in the microwave for 30 seconds and stir until smooth. If making enough for multiple uses, store in a sealed container at room temperature.
Step 2:
Gently apply the mask to your face avoiding your eye area - obviously. Once you've spread the mask evenly over your skin let sit for 20 minutes.
Step 3:
With warm water and just your fingers, rinse your face completely. Avoid "scrubbing" your face. The mixture will do this naturally - any more will be too harsh and could harm your skin.
Step 4:
Pat yourself dry with a clean towel and check out how beautiful you are!

I use this about 3 times a week, every other day or so. For sensitive or dry skin, I'd use it only once or twice - assuming it doesn't irritate your skin. If that's the case, you can also use this as a spot treatment and only apply it to your blemishes and acne scars.

Benefits:
Honey -
a hygroscopic (moisture absorbing), antibacterial, source of antioxidants.
Cinnamon -
a natural exfoliate, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anti-fungal, anti-viral aid, astringent.
Nutmeg -
anti-inflammatory, natural exfoliate.
